Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Director of Data Management & Services, the Clinical Data Scientist (CDS) provides technical support to the statistical programming function fulfilled by the Independent Statistical Group to ensure clinical data is analyzed with high quality and presented in accordance with regulatory standards. The CDS provides expertise and hands on support to clinical projects, and successfully achieves all statistical programming objectives.
The CDS contributes to interpretation of results, writing/reviewing publications and clinical study reports. The interpretation of analyses will be used to inform study designs and data collection of future studies, as well as translate findings for publications and dissemination of information to the general public. The CDS works closely with medical writers, Data Management, Clinical Operations, and Regulatory Teams to ensure data analysis and reporting needs are met. A key part of the role is to communicate study findings to sites and liaising between potential collaborators and other researchers in the field.
Location:
This is a remote position from a suitable home office with a private and quiet area to work. Secure internet and reliable phone reception are required. This position requires frequent phone and internet meetings. Certain home office expenses may be reimbursed. A work computer will be provided.
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week. We are a West Coast-based company and applicants must be available during normal business hours
(9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday). The exact schedule may be arranged upon hire. Occasional weekend hours may be required with advance arrangement.

Minimum Requirements:
Doctorate degree in statistics or related field; Minimum 5 years work experience in a research setting. High level of proficiency in SAS, statistical concepts and data interpretations, technical writing, and Microsoft office software
